Just a little announcement to say that I’m taking a long break from posting until sometime in early May.

Alright, I guess I’ll say something a bit more lol.

My “grand return” (if you could even call it that) back in 2022 obviously didn’t last as long as part of me was expecting. I did half-excitedly get back into anime that year, but that enthusiasm didn’t stick as long as I thought it was going to. I do still have an interest in watching some shows (including the 2nd cour of the first season of Spy X Family, and then the whole 2nd season of that…) and I’ve also been having some fun watching or re-watching some anime movies and older shows too.

But the reality is… even though my enthusiasm has returned, I’m still not spending a lot of my free time watching anime. And spending even less of my free time writing about it. And, honestly, the moment that I take a break from this site and move on to something else for a bit, I tend to just kind of forget this site exists for a long period of time.

I’ve been enjoying doing a lot more programming and coding right now, and also working on other projects that are writing related but not anime review related. And, also, of course, adulting things – yay chores!

Anyway, enough about all of that.

I was supposed to come back to this site in May 2023, but now it’s going to be May 2024. I think I will have some stuff prepared by then to share, and we’ll see how long I can keep the steam going at that point. I’m not going to make any promises about how long I’ll be active on this site when that time comes.

But I do enjoy being here and posting my thoughts here. I wouldn’t keep this site up and make these occasional posts if I wasn’t actually interested in continuing this.

I am wondering what more I can do with this site, though, so that it’s more active… without writing anime reviews… I’ll have to think about it.
